Founded in 2024 with just three singers, Torin Derek & Friendz was created after a local event organizer requested a gospel choir for a special performance. What began as a small gathering of voices quickly grew into a thriving community of over 20 singers — and continues to grow. More than just a choir, Torin Derek & Friendz is a community of singers from across Las Vegas, bringing together people from multiple musical, cultural, and personal backgrounds through the power of music and authentic praise.

Known for their vibrant energy, heartfelt sound, and strong sense of unity, the choir has become recognized for creating uplifting musical experiences that inspire audiences and bring people together. Each performance reflects the individuality and passion of its members while maintaining one collective mission: to use music to make a meaningful impact in the community.

Since its formation, Torin Derek & Friendz has had the honor of performing for city officials, state representatives, and community events throughout Las Vegas, including appearances at an Aretha Franklin Tribute Concert and most recently at the World's Famous Gospel Brunch at House of Blues Las Vegas. As the choir continues to grow, the group remains committed to uplifting audiences, celebrating community, and representing the spirit of gospel music in Las Vegas and beyond.
